Cheesy Potato Gratin
Ingredients
- Thickened cream - 2 cups
- Milk - 1/2 cup
- Dried thyme - 1 tbsp
- Salt and black pepper
- Russet potatoes - 8, peeled and cut into thin slices
- Chives - 10g, chopped finely
- Gruyére cheese - 250g, grated
- Parmesan - grated
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180˚C.
- In a large mixing bowl, stir to combine the cream, milk, thyme, and garlic powder. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a large oval baking dish, arrange the potatoes in a layer on the bottom of the dish, overlapping the slices slightly. Season with salt and pepper, then drizzle over one quarter of the cream mixture. Sprinkle with chives, then 1 quarter of the cheese. Repeat another 3 times to create 4 layers. Top with a sprinkle of grated parmesan.
- Bake for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender with a fork.
