Fruit Salad in a Jar
Fruit salad in a jar is perfect if you love fresh fruit in the morning, and great for busy people on the go!
They're quick, easy and can be prepared days in advance! PERFECT!
My husband leaves for work at 6am every morning, he sleeps in for as long as he can and most of the time this results in him skipping breakfast.
I make these Fruit salad in a jar 3 days in advance, you can make them up to 5 days in advance but I would avoid adding pineapple if you do as it tends to go really acidic.
The great thing about these jars, besides being healthy is the fact that you can add whatever you want to them, you can do a full berries jar high in antioxidants, or you can add your favourite fruits.
- Cut up your favourite fruits and add them in layers to the jars.
- I always add passionfruit and mango down the bottom of the jar as when I tip the jar out they land on the top of the fruit salad and the flavour goes through the lot.
- Pop into the fridge ready for the days ahead.
- Add fruit and your favourite yogurt to a bowl and enjoy!
You can use any size jar you like, this serving is what I give my husband you may want to adjust serving sizes for children.
