Slow Cooker Satay Beef
Our Slow Cooker Satay Beef is delicious, easy and best of all, a great use of peanut butter! By far one of the best satay recipes we've seen!
Ingredients
- Blade beef steak - 800g cubed
- Beef stock - 3/4 cup
- Peanut butter smooth or crunchy doesn't really matter - 1/2 cup
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Peanut or canola oil - 1 tablespoon
- Brown sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic powder - 1/4 tablespoon
- Crushed peanuts - 1/4 cup
- Onion - 1 diced
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients except beef and crushed nuts in a jug and mix well.
- Add beef to slow cooker and pour over ingredients.
- Cook on low for approx. 6 hours.
- Give a stir and add crushed nuts before serving .
- We serve with rice or mash potato with a few fresh shallots or coriander on top, Enjoy!

Could you make this in a pot in the oven instead?? How long would need to cook it for?

Hi Milly, you sure can cook approx 3 hours on 160 degrees with a lid on, make sure the meat is covered with fluid. It may be slightly runnier once cooked but you can thicken with some corn flour If you like. I love this recipe is really good with chicken as well. Hope that helps and thanks for commenting 🙂

Is there anyway to make it look more appetising? Maybe less sauce or bigger cuts of meat? It looks like diarrhea.
