Pretzel Chicken Nuggets
These Pretzel Chicken Nuggets are something a little different but boy are the delicious! Super crunchy and tender they beat any store bought nugget any day. If you love these don't forget t check out our Weet - Bix Chicken Nuggets too!
Ingredients
- Chicken breast skin off - 500g
- White flour - 1 cup
- Pretzels - 4 cups
- Eggs beaten - 3
- Oil or butter to cook with - 2- 3 tablespoons
Instructions
- Dice chicken into approx. inch nugget size pieces.
- Pop Flour in bowl and set aside
- Pop pretzels in a food processor and blitz to fine crumb.
- Coat chicken pieces in flour and then dip in beaten egg.
- Roll in pretzel crumbs.
- Repeat process and set aside on a plate.
- Heat oil or butter in a wok or frying pan on high. You want to make sure the oil is really hot as it will make the chicken pieces crispy. Don't over pack the pan as they will steam and not go as crispy.
- Test a piece to see if cooked by taking one out and cutting in half, make sure they are fully cooked with no pink in the middle. They will need approx. 4-5 mins all up. Try not to over cook them as you want the chicken to be really tender and melt in your mouth.
- Once cooked set aside on paper towel to drain any excess oil.
- Serve with your favourite dipping sauce and enjoy!
