Ingredients
- Plain flour - 350g
- Butter - 275g, at room temperature
- Caster sugar - 175g
- Salt - a good pinch
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 150˚C.
- Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl.
- Knead all the ingredients together with your hands until there are no lumps of butter and the dough is smooth and well combined.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough with rolling pin into a 1 ½ cm thick slab.
- With a knife or a cutter, cut into rectangles that are roughly 7 x 5cm.
- Place the biscuits on a baking tray and bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown on the edges.
