Homemade Sausage Rolls
Ingredients
- Beef mince - 400g
- Onion - finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, crushed
- Carrot - 1, finely grated
- Egg - 1, lightly beaten
- Breadcrumbs - 1 cup
- Dried Oregano - 1 tsp
- Fresh parsley - a medium handful, finely chopped
- Salt and black pepper
- Frozen puff pastry - 1 sheets, semi thawed
- Egg - 1, to brush
- Tomato sauce - to serve
Instructions

Preheat oven to 180°C. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.

Mix the mince, onion, garlic, carrot, egg, breadcrumbs, oregano, parsley and salt and pepper together. Divide the mixture up into 6 portions
- Cut each of the pastry sheets in half.
- Roll a portion of the mince into a log and place over one of the half sheets of pastry. Brush the edges with egg.
- Roll up on both sides of the filling, and cut into 3 rolls or however many, depending on what size you want. Repeat with the other 5 sheets of pastry.
- Place the rolls on the lined trays. Brush with egg and score diagonally. Bake for 20-25 mins or until golden brown. Serve with tomato sauce.
